Catch the Link

A check on separating a situation, a thought, a feeling, and a behavior before the story hardens.

About this test

Beck's cognitive model links a situation, an automatic thought, a feeling, and a behavior. A thought record and a behavioral experiment are ways of testing the thought instead of obeying it. These items score whether you caught the link or set a fair test. They teach the skill. They do not diagnose depression or anxiety, which have their own reflection tests on this site.
