Whether your days feel aimed or adrift. A higher percent means less sense of direction, in the way meaning and grit research describe it.
About this test
Steger's Meaning in Life Questionnaire separates the presence of meaning from the search for it. You can be searching because you have not found a direction, or searching while already committed. Duckworth's grit research adds two habits that are not the same as talent: consistency of interest, and perseverance after a boring week. These original items score undirectedness: low presence of purpose plus goals that do not survive contact with boredom. A high score is not a diagnosis, and a low score is not a claim that your purpose is the right one.
