Continuing Bond

Many people keep a bond with the person they lost through stories, objects, and small rituals. This page offers ideas for a continuing bond, and it is not a rule for the right way to grieve.

Write their name and one ordinary detail you do not want to forget, such as a phrase, a joke, or the way they made coffee.

List three ways the bond already shows up, such as a recipe, a value, a place, or a habit you kept.

Design one repeatable act that takes under ten minutes. Write the steps and a possible time of day.

Draft one sentence you can use if you want company, and one sentence if you want privacy. Both can be respectful.

Write what you allow yourself to feel on days when the bond feels warm, and on days when it feels far away.
